Time To Celebrate

Covid-19 Vaccine at Regency at Augusta

On January 27th, we welcomed the CVS team to our facility to provide phase one COVID-19 vaccinations to our community. Our staff put together an amazing celebration to lift spirits and spread hope. Our mantra was “A little poke to spread a lot of hope!” We could not be more excited and thankful for the opportunity for our residents, staff, and community to receive phase-one of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Regency at Augusta staff organized a relaxation area filled with aromatherapy, moments-of-hope meditations, a snack bar, vaccine day BINGO, and a photo booth.

A special thanks to Encompass Home Health for providing the beautiful and tasty vaccine cookies from Sweet Nana Cakes. And, as always, we are extremely grateful for our staff that bring so much energy, passion, and care to our community.

It was truly a day to celebrate!

Covid-19 Vaccine at Regency at AugustHere are some things you should know about the COVID-19 vaccine:

  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that people get vaccinated against COVID-19. This is especially true for older adults as the virus has had more negative effects in those who are 65+.
  • Even after getting both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, you must remain vigilant at protecting yourself from catching and/or spreading the virus.
  • You still need to maintain social distancing, wear face masks, and practice proper hand hygiene.
  • You should stay in close contact with your doctor about any changes in your health and, after receiving the vaccine, also report any adverse reactions.
  • You should continue to support your healthy immune system by staying active, reducing stress, eating healthfully, and taking vitamin supplements such as Vitamin C and Zinc.
